CARTON PACKING REQUIREMENTS

After you’ve processed your product in the URBN compliant way (Ticket, Poly-bagged, SKU label applied), you will be required to pack these in carton sizes not exceeding certain dimensions.

Please note, packing requirements are now the same for all channels (DIRECT, RETAIL, OMNI and WHOLESALE).

Cartons can be sealed with regular clear coloured tape or brown tape where possible.

URBN DC operates an automation system which can only flow cartons which DO NOT exceed the following size:

– 600mm x 300mm x 400mm

URBN recommends that you pack your products into the industry standard BDCM 1 to 3 series cartons. Anything under these dimensions are fine.

– 600mm x 300mm x 400mm
– 400mm x 300mm x 400mm
– 600mm x 300mm x 200mm

Multiple POs cannot be mixed within a carton. However, SKUs/styles can be mixed within a PO as long as clearly separated (using lightweight, recyclable material).

The weight of each carton must NOT exceed 13 kgs.

Anything other than the above requires URBN approval before shipping and would need to be appropriately marked (for example ‘HEAVY- 2 PERSON LIFT’).

Please contact Compliance.eu@urbn.com  for approval.

Packing a Mixed Carton

Clothing orders raised for 50 units or less can be mixed within cartons. If a mixed carton is necessary, the items must be separated by a layer of corrugate or paper. The carton must be clearly marked as a “Mixed Carton” containing multiple SKU’s on the carton label.

** DO NOT ship on hangers, ALL apparel should be folded and flat packed in individual poly-bags **

OUTER CARTON LABELS

Once packed you will need to apply a TRADESTONE UCC128 outer carton label. To process a UCC128 label please follow the below link:

TRADESTONE CARTON LABEL

** Carton labels must only be placed on the sides of the cartons **

** A TRADESTONE PACKING LIST MUST be placed on ONE of the cartons **
